What is herblore?
Herblore is a skill to clean grimy herbs which can be used to make potions with a second ingredient. These potions have a variety of effects. However, most of them are designed to be used in combat.
First step: cleaning grimy herbs
You can start training herblore with cleaning grimy herbs. You can buy grimy herbs at the herblore shop (Bob Barter) at north west of bank in Edgeville or use ::shops and walk to the west. It's also possible to decant your potions at the herblore shop.

Second step: making potions
When you cleaned the herbs, you need to make unfinished potions. Use a vial of water on the cleaned herbs to make unfinished potions. After that, you can make potions. All the items you need, can you find at the herblore shop as I told you. Tip for UIM: the noted items you buy at the herblore shop, can you unnote to hold them on the bank booth.

Note: some items are secondary ingredients, like unicorn horn, blue dragon scale and chocolate bar. To make this items, you need to hold a pestle and mortar on the ingredient. At this moment it's not possible to make antifire potions and anti-venom potions.

Herblore master
The herblore master (Kaqemeex) can be found at the Taverley altar at north-west of Falador. The fastest way to get there, is to teleport to Burthorpe via the ancient wizard and run south. The master can give you your skilling cape for free when you reach level 99. In addition, he can give you skilling tasks to obtain herblore points or money (you will also get participation points when you finish your task). Finally, you can see his master's shop where you can spend your herblore points.
1-99 walktrough
This is the fastest way to go from 1-99. This is without cleaning herbs.

Note: for some potions you need a secondary ingredient, so it's faster to use this way.

The hourly bonus skill gives you 50% more herblore xp for 1 hour. Quest tab > the "i" icon to see what the current hourly bonus skill is. Refresh the page to be sure you have the right one.
