Main page/Bestiary/Bossing index/Vet'ion
Vet'ion (pronounced "VET-ee-un") is a skeletal boss that can be found in level 33 wilderness and is the only monster to drop the ghrazi rapier. Like other bosses in the Wilderness, it can also drop the dragon pickaxe.
Vet'ion is located in level 33 Wilderness (beware of pk'ers).
The teleport can be found within the boss teleports section of your spell book
After teleporting, just run north a bit and you will find Vet'ion.
As Vet'ion is a relatively straight forward boss, nothing over the top is needed:
- A spec weapon (Dragon Warhammer, Unknown Whip, Dragon Whip would work best here)
- Combo food in case of pk'ers as well as the prayer breaking hit from Vet'ion being able to hit 46 as well as it's lightning bolts if not avoided
- A stat boosting potion and some prayer restoration potions
- A rune pouch with runes for vengeance to counter some damage dealt by vet'ion himself.
- A dragonstone jewellery item is also HEAVILY recommended, due to the boss being in 30+ wilderness.
Vet'ion has 3 main attack styles and 2 phases.
- A variety of melee attacks, all of which can be fully protected against with the Protect from Melee prayer.
- A prayer shattering melee attack that damages you through the melee prayer. This attack can hit up to 46. This attack happens very rarely so it's recommended to still pray it.
- 3 lightning bolts being shot shortly after a bang noise is made (turn on the bottom sound setting to hear this (the one with 3 little subwhoofer like icons). This attack cannot be prayed against, but you can avoid the attack by moving onto tiles not being hit by the lightning.
- Vet'ion also has a second phase. Upon hitting 100/255 Health on each phase, he will become invulnerable and spawn 2 Skeletal Hellhounds. You need to kill these hounds before being able to damage Vet'ion again. Upon hitting 0/255 Health, Vet'ion will turn yellow and you'll have to redo the fight once more before vet'ion finally falls.
