Info
The Dragon Platebody offers some of the highest bonuses of any non-degradable armour in the game, providing higher slash and stab defence than the Bandos Chestplate. For melee use, it is a direct upgrade to the Dragon Chainbody in every stat except crush, with the Chainbody having +1 crush defence more than the Platebody. Despite its high defensive bonuses, however, the Dragon Platebody lacks a strength bonus, making the Platebody less commonly used for general melee training. Players will most likely choose a Justiciar Chestguard, Vesta's Chainbody, Statius's platebody or any melee Barrows platebody instead of the Dragon Plateboy.
How to obtain
The Dragon Platebody is dropped by the Kalphite Queen, King Black Dragon and Smoke Devils. At a drop rate of 1/10 it is best to kill the Kalphite Queen. Killing the Smoke Devils will take you the longest time with a drop rate of 1/152.
