What is slayer?

Slayer is one of the most challenging skills in Grinderscape, but, it is also one of the most rewarding. The slayer skill revolves around receiving a task to kill a certain number of monsters from a Slayer Master. Be patient while training slayer. The experience may seem a bit slow, but it will be worth it in the end.

Slayer supplies

All you need for slayer, is gear, food and potions. In addition, you need some slayer equipments for specific monsters to kill them or to protect from their damage. All these items can be bought from the slayer shop from (right click slayer master and choose 'trade'. Finally it's highly recommended to use the Slayer ring which will automatically teleport you to the location of your slayer task. With the slayer ring you are able to teleport to the slayer masters aswell.

To get the ring, right click on any slayer master > rewards > tab buy.

How to start slayer?

Walk to the north west from the bank in Edegeville. There you will find Turael, the slayer master for level 1-20.

Right click on him and choose 'assignment'. When you get your assignment, you can right click on your slayer ring and choose 'rub' to teleport to your task. Right click on your slayer ring and choose 'check' to see how many monsters you have to kill to complete your task. When you complete your task, you will get blood money, slayer points and participation points.

When completing Krystilias slayer tasks you have the chance to recieve Larran's key. You use Larran's key on Larrans chest. Potential loot is listed below.

Big Larran's key chest information

• The chest is locked and can only be opened by using Larran's key, which is obtained from killing monsters that Krystilia assigns the player.

• Though sharing the same loot compared to Larran's small chest, the quantities obtained from the big chest are much higher and also give a chance at receiving Dagon'hai robes.

Small Larran's key chest information

• The chest is locked and can only be opened by using Larran's key, which is obtained from killing monsters that Krystilia assigns the player.

• Loot awarded to the player by opening the chest is around 30% less than that of Larran's big chest, and gives no chance at Dagon'hai robes. However, the big chest is located in a much more dangerous part of the deep Wilderness and is more frequented by Player Killers.

Slayer shop

When you right click on any slayer master and you click on 'rewards', you will see a few tabs. At the tab 'unlock' you can unlock some tasks. At the tab 'extend' you can extend tasks, which means you will get bigger tasks. The tab 'buy' allows you to buy items with the slayer points you earned from doing tasks. The tab 'tasks' will I explain below.

Cancel and block tasks

At the tab 'tasks' you can cancel and block tasks. When you get a hard task, you can cancel it; it costs 30 slayer points. When you block it, you will never get the target again. It costs 100 slayer points to block a task. You can block a maximum of 6 targets.

Useful items and boosts

Hourly bonus skill

The hourly bonus skill gives you 50% more slayer xp for 1 hour. Quest tab > the "i" icon to see what the current hourly bonus skill is. Refresh the page to be sure you have the right one.

Bonecrusher

The bonecrusher buries automatically the bones you slay of monsters. The xp you get when using the bonecrusher, is 213% more than when you bury your bones and 14% less than when you use bones on an altar. You can buy the bonecrusher at Borat for 250 participation points. He stays near the bank at Edgeville. The bonecrusher is untradeable.

You need ecto-tokens to charge the bonecrusher. You can get them from the shop keeper or shop assistant at north west of bank at Edgeville or use ::shops and walk to the west.

Slayer helmet

The slayer helm increases your combat bonusses. You can craft a slayer helm. All you have to do, is to use one piece on the other. The items you need:

• Black mask / Black mask (i)
• Earmuffs
• Facemask
• Nose peg
• Spiny helmet
• Enchanted gem

You can buy all this items from the slayer shop, except the black mask. You can get it from drops or players.

Voting

The skilling cape

Once you reach level 99, you can buy the cape from any slayer master.
