The ecumenical key is used to skip the required killcount for the Godwars bosses. The key is untradeable.

How do you obtain an ecumenical key?

The best way to obtain an ecumenical key is to kill lower-levelled monsters like bloodvelds, cyclops, and icefiends. To get a full list, check the item drop finder in your quest tab in-game.

Where do you use a ecumenical key?

As mentioned above, you can use the key in the Godwars dungeon (General Graardor, K'ril tsutsaroth, Kree'arra, and Commander Zilyana).
