Abyssal whip & colored whips

The whip is among the most powerful and popular non-degradable melee weapons and is capable of attacking at the same speed of daggers and scimitars at 2.4 seconds per hit. One of the downsides of the abyssal whip is that it is not effective for training strength as the only attack option available which will provide strength experience is the "lash" attack option, which provides shared experience.

There are 7 kinds of whips. The original Abyssal Whip, Coloured whips and the Abyssal Vine Whip.

The colored whips:

• White whip
• Ice whip
• Gold whip
• Bandos whip
• Lava whip

All of the whips require 70 attack to equip, However, the two stronger whips, Bandos whip and Lava whip, require 75 attack to equip. All Whips can be obtain by trading other players or killing the Abyssal demon, Ice Queen & General Graardor, except for the Lava Whip, which can be obtained from the Voting Point Store.

Voting Sortition Reward

An Abyssal Whip is a potential reward from the Voting Sortiton. However, the Abyssal Whip has a low chance of being obtained. You gain credit to spin every time you vote. To access the Vote Sortition, you click the "Roll Reward" button in the quest tab

Attack styles

Whips are weapons that deal slash damage (all styles). Slash weapons will do extra damage to those monsters with a specific weakness to slash attacks, and slightly less damage to those monsters with any melee weakness. As with all melee weapons, they deal poor damage against monsters with a weakness to magic, and strong damage to monsters weak to ranged.
