What is firemaking?
Firemaking is a skill used to light fires. It is the companion skill of Woodcutting.
Firemaking supplies
The only things you need, are a tinderbox and logs.
Tinderbox
The tinderbox can be found at the general store of the shopkeeper or te shop assistant in north west Edgeville for 276 coins. You can also use ::shops and walk to the west.
Logs
There are a few ways to get logs:
- Chop them yourself using the woodcutting skill;
- Buy log from other players;
- Buy some kind of logs at the general store.
How to train firemaking?
Just click on the tinderbox and then on the log to make fire. When you have fire, use the next log on the fire to burn the other logs automatically. You can train firemaking at almost every place. So it's recommended to train firemaking near a bank and you can even train it in the bank.

The skilling cape
If you reach level 99, you will get the skillcape and hood automatically. When you lost it, you can get it from the skillcape store for 27m or the (t) for 45m. Run to north west of Edgeville bank or use ::shops and run west to get there. The firemaking skill doesn't have a skilling master and also not skilling tasks. The skilling cape doesn't give more xp.
