This is the Mining Guide
Mining is a skill that allows players to obtain ores and gems from rocks. With ores, a player can then either smelt bars and make equipment using the Smithing skill or sell them for profit.

Mining Store
To access the Mining Store, you can trade Miner Magnus in Neitiznot (North) just east past the rocks
He can also be found in the Donator Zone, in the mining area.
Skilling Shop
The Dragon Pickaxe and Infernal Pickaxe can be bought from the Skilling Point Store, this can be found at Edgeville (North of the Bank), or at the Donator Zone.

Note:
You will get 25% more xp if you decide to train in the wilderness resource area (wilderness level 54).
Location of Rocks
Neitiznot (North)
Neitiznot (North) contains all the types of Rocks. There is also a furnace/ anvil so players can train their Smithing skill at the same time.
Resource Area
At the resource area you can find pretty much all types of ore, except copper,tin,and runite ore. This is located in the wilderness, so do be aware of pvpers or players looking to kill skillers.
Donator Zone
As the name of the place suggests, you need to be a Donator to enter this area. Head South from the where the teleport takes you, All the rocks will be in this area ready to be mined.
Mining Tasks
If you wish, you could also complete mining tasks to get the prospector kit. Each prospector item provides extra xp.
Obtaining a task
By speaking to Gadrin at the Donator Zone or Neitznot mining. A direct teleport can be found under the skilling teleport or using ::dz. Talk to Gardin and select Ask about skilling tasks to receive one.
Be sure to talk to him again once you have completed the task for some mining points.

Useful Items and Boosts
Hourly bonus skill
The hourly bonus skill gives you 50% more mining xp for 1 hour. Quest tab > the "i" icon > scroll down to see what the current hourly bonus skill is. Refresh the bonus skill to be sure you have the right one.
Watch the order of the hourly bonus skills to see when mining is the hourly bonus skill.

The skilling cape
If you reach level 99, you will get the skillcape and hood automatically. When you lost it, you can get it free from the skilling master.
