Abyssal whip & colored whips
The whip is among the most powerful and popular non-degradable melee weapons and is capable of attacking at the same speed of daggers and scimitars at 2.4 seconds per hit. One of the downsides of the abyssal whip is that it is not effective for training strength as the only attack option available which will provide strength experience is the "lash" attack option, which provides shared experience.
There are 7 kinds of whips. The original abyssal whip, colored whips and the vine whip.
The colored whips:
- White whip
- Ice whip
- Gold whip
- Bandos whip
- Lava whip
All of the whips require 70 attack to wear. Whips can be obtain by trading other players or killing the Abyssal demon.

Abyssal demons

The abyssal demon is a medium level monster of combat level 124. It can be found in the slayer tower and in the Ancient dungeon but it requires 85 slayer to be able to attack the demon.
These demons drop all kind of whips except Vine whip (it can drop a whip vine if the abyssal demon is your current slayer task).

The abyssal whip possesses a special attack, Energy Drain, which consumes 50% of the special attack bar, increases accuracy by 25% (of only that special attack), and in PVP transfers 10% of the target's run energy to the user.
